© Monroe CountyThis image, taken from traffic cameras, shows Interstate 390 near Route 204.Unseasonably wintry weather has created icy road conditions throughout the Rochester region, closing portions of several area highways.According to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office, the westbound lanes of Interstate 490 leading motorists to Interstate 590 is 'completely shutdown.' The southbound lanes of Interstate 390 near Chili Avenue and the flyover ramp leading eastbound motorists on Route 531 to Interstate 490 were also temporarily closed Wednesday morning because of crashes and icy conditions, deputies said.

Both areas reopened around 7 a.m.More than a dozen crashes have been reported throughout Monroe County between 5 and 6 a.m., according to 911 dispatchers.' We urge all those who are commuting this morning to use extra caution as unseasonably icy conditions are causing numerous traffic accidents on the expressways across the county,' said Lt.
